This is the official list of rules for the Gears of Galudon community. For more specialized roleplay guides, please see the Roleplay Guides main page.

Server Moderation

  1. Staff members who moderate serverside issues have the final say in any conflicts.
  2. Any use of mods that allow unfair advantage in the game, or the use of cracked accounts/clients are strictly forbidden. This includes the use of copious redstone or other contraptions that may cause undue lag.
  3. Doxing or releasing private information of another member of our community is a punishable offense.
  4. Please remember that this is a roleplay server. The purpose is to create an interesting story, not merely to ‘win’. We expect all of our players to conduct themselves in good spirit, regardless of the situation being positive or negative for their character.
  5. Do not advertise or have in-depth discussions regarding other Minecraft servers.
  6. Harassment can be defined as persistent pursuit of contact, after an expressed desire to not be contacted from the affected party to the pursuing party. For example, if someone blocks you on Discord and you make a second account to talk to them, or try to continue the conversation on the Forums, this is classed as harassment.
  7. Walls of text, multiple messages in quick succession, and spamming of any sort of media is not allowed. Raids (which are generally tons of people/bots joining a server to spam) are also forbidden.

Roleplay Guidelines

  1. Powerplaying is considered overpowered and can include things like; immediate combat contact, auto-dodging, metagaming, adding powers to a character without approval and ignoring lore. If you have further questions, contact staff.
  2. This is a location-based roleplay. Make sure to roleplay your movements to and from locations and do not make the location changes instant. Travel time should always be taken into consideration, regardless of an instant teleport selection.
  3. Generally, you should ask before joining a roleplay and maintain a turn order if there are multiple parties in one roleplay. However, in plot-important situations or there’s an occurrence where it wouldn’t make sense to leave out a character, you are not allowed to deny them from being part of the roleplay.
  4. Some people just have characters that are nasty people, don’t take it personally! Characters are supposed to be separate people from the person playing them. It’s not them speaking through the screen, it’s the character they’ve created.
  5. Be respectful to your fellow players. This includes polite, mature behavior free from harassment, racism, sexism, or targeted attacks. Both staff members and members deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. While jokes are fine, constantly being a dick to people won’t end well for you. This can include things like: targeting/harassing others, using slurs, any sort of racism/homophobia, bringing drama into the server, and political discussions.

NSFW Content

  1. Due to content that isn’t suited for minors, you must be 18+ to gain access to this discord and server. If you are found to be under the age of eighteen you will face an immediate ban. You must be the age of eighteen or over to play on Gears of Galudon. In addition, anyone who knew about an underage player and did not report it will also face punishment. We do not believe that this server is suitable for ages under the age of eighteen. This rule protects minors from illegal/unsuitable content, and also to protect our adult players from interacting with underage players.
  2. NSFW content is allowed in roleplay on the server. However, if the subject depicted is suspected to be underage, the poster will face not only a ban from the server but will be reported to Discord for a TOS violation.
  3. Public ERP is allowed within certain rp channels and areas. Spaces that are indicated as ‘safe zones’ are not allowed to have public ERP within emote or speaking distance. But can have them within whisper distance. Anyone engaging in public ERP must be tagged with the appropriate symbol. Find out how to get that symbol HERE.
