Influential Gangs
The Conclave
The Conclave originates from the magically blighted lands of The Kingdom of Leydenmark, established by a Venyra that went by a variety of names to the public, yet those a part of The Conclave knew them as Caëdharion. Caëdharion founded The Conclave in the year 1802 with the intention to rebel against the typical stigma that was violently toward those with a magical prowess or the magically ailed individuals labeled as “Cursed”. A once semi-peaceful cause evolved over the following years into a criminal enterprise, thriving within the Underground with the acts of alchemy smuggling, magical corruption, and havoc stirred in their wake as they moved from land to faraway land. As Caëdharion struggled with their grasp upon their members, they vanished into the wind and left The Conclave to their own devious desires.
Now, The Conclave is run by a woman by the name of Valëthas. Beneath her ever watchful gaze, The Conclave has spread its grasp all the way into Ironhurst itself where it has taken up residence within The Maw, away from the prying eyes of the populace.
The Iron Veil
Originating from the scorching dunes of El-Biyafid, The Iron Veil was developed by a single, unknown group who has been theorized to be a Royal Family of a long, long forgotten dynasty. A relatively mysterious group, each representative refuses to let their faces be known. Sticking to the shadows, and their numbers limited, they both refuse to stake claims over anything and are unable to back such a thing up. The Iron Veil serves one purpose, to rob and dispose of those with vast wealth to ‘distribute’ back into those less fortunate. In truth, this group had a more sinister goal. In their continued robberies, The Veil acquired a vast networking system across a variety of nations, granting them access to private government documents, secrets, and more. Their hands dipped into every bowl they could reach, corrupting and blackmailing those they needed to put themselves higher and higher, until almost every member of The Veil held an important office.
The Veil is run by a variety of members with their own internal hierarchy. It is truly unknown who, or what, exactly controls this massive group. Only a single title is known to contact, ‘The First’, whose physical appearance lies unknown to the general public due to the silver mask adorned to his visage.
The Boss
The Boss is known mostly for their connections and knowledge hailing from Vistabella and the ever shifty actions at various businesses they find themselves connected to. Many aren’t entirely sure who runs the show but most wouldn’t suspect an older woman named Gianna Barone, commonly referred to as The Mother of the Boss. However, when it comes down to it, The Mother has deadly tactics and even more than those many see in Ironhurst under her thumb. Either from dedication - or financial reliability due to one to many risky moves. The Boss frequently uses scummy tactics for unsuspecting businesses and offers boons or banes for those who wish to enter the game with them. While they support local shops, they can be equally nasty to them in turn when truly pressed for money or deals falling through.
Gianna Barone is known as the leader of Esroto Enterprises, a luke-warm legal business that fronts an entire smuggling empire beneath the surface. Known for vast connections and questionable practices that toe the line between legal and illegal, yet they always seem to have the correct paperwork in order. Esroto Enterprises is a family owned business, or so Gianna claims, although everyone tends to question just how many cousins, uncles, and sisters one has.
