History
In the years 1490-1500 A.E, the need for marble, granite, and other decorative minerals in the country that would later be known as The Kingdom of Vistabella was needed. The ever-present desire for architectural achievement led to the contracting and funding of local mining companies, some of which were located in areas layered with superstition and threats of vampiric nests. Despite these dangers, the brave miners ventured into these mines. Within those mines were the common minerals found, but one stood out the most. A dark grey glossy metallic mineral with gold-like veins was found within small clusters. These minerals were found and collected. As the miners loaded their goods onto their caravans to journey back to the capital, a dangerous fork appeared in the road. A small gang of bloodthirsty vampires made themselves known. The miners, though lacking in numbers, stood their ground against the predators. As the fight broke out and blows were exchanged, the grey, golden veined mineral was dropped out of the caravan due to the chaos of the fight. In the presence of the curse-afflicted, the mineral veins glowed no brighter than a dimmed candle, though towards the vampires, it was like the sun was right before them. This strange and mysterious reaction repelled the vampires away from the caravan of miners. As they recovered, they clung to the mineral tightly, not letting go of it until reaching back to the capital. Upon telling the story about the encounter and the strange reaction of the mineral, alchemists, blacksmiths, and hunters began experimenting with the said mineral. The alchemists discovered that grinding the mineral into a chalky powder and distilling it in water and other alchemicals produces a sparkled liquid with properties that causes a burning sensation towards the cursed and creatures that many superstitious would call demonic. Currently, the mineral is known as Castialt, and its uses have stretched far and wide around the world of Pannotia, with The Kingdom of Vistabella being the most known supplier, with it being a lot harder to come by in other countries. As Castialt is still being used to create its liquid and salt form, pendants are worn by many.

General Uses
[EVERYTHING BELOW IS ONLY ACCESSED AND OBTAINABLE THROUGH RPING AS A TIER 2 ALCHEMIST] Grounded Castialt creates a very pungent smell towards only the curse afflicted acting as a repellent towards them, while not fully stopping them it makes it unbearable if in its presence, with many sprinkling the substance near doorways or window seals. By mixing the Grounded Castialt with water and False Nymph and distilling it, creates a very oily water substance with a golden sparkle in it. This creates a unique mixture that is officially called Blaze Water. This creates a burning sensation towards Curses and demonic individuals (imps of Chaosweaver). By smelting and forging into pendants and objects, this generates a bright light that only cursed individuals can see. [Requires both a tier 2 smith and tier 2 alchemist to create small objects.]
