''Off the Page'' - Spellbinders can cause ink collected in written work to temporarily leap off the page and splatter over a person’s face. The words that should be spoken are “''Sae Silith Ni''” while performing a lifting motion with the left hand. This spell causes the ink to linger roughly ten seconds on the face of the victim before leaping back onto the page and rearranging itself into the correct words.
| '''Runic Mastery'''
| Summoning these runes to lash out toward their foes, they may send three arcane strikes toward up to three targets, making a '''MYS''' attack roll for each one. Each hit deals '''1d4''' damage.

''Copycat'' - This spell is capable of replicating a written work. The spellbinder must provide the paper or blank book to which the work will be transcribed. The mage must place the blank vessel over the written one, then lay both hands on the blank pages and, using a pulling motion, mutter “''Nisil, Collo Mae''.” The words will transfer, although the ink on the original piece will be noticeably lighter.
| '''Library Nook'''
| Each Spellbinder has access to a single pocket dimension, a sprawling library that transforms and shifts every second. However, they have gained a single corner, able to store any items of their choosing as long as it can reasonably be set through the size of a book. This includes weaponry, money, alchemy, and anything else reasonable. No one else may access the Caster’s Nook.

''Autodict'' - The spellbinder can enchant a quill to copy down whatever the spellbinder says. Both ink and quill must be enchanted. First the binder must hold a wax sealed bottle of ink, cupping the container with both hands, after which the feather must be laid lengthwise across both the top of the inkpot and the binder’s hands. Then they must invoke “''Corath Sae Silni''.” and press the quill tip to the mage’s lips, whispering “''Cae Sil Parath''.”  After this is done, the mage must open the ink and set the quill inside the ink. In order to stop the dictation, the binder must toss the inkpot into the fire.

| '''Nom de Plume'''
| This spell is used to identify the author of a written document. To cast this spell, the caster needs to hold the physical document and a blank strip of paper. ''At Your Fingertips'' - The spellbinder can summon a written piece of knowledge into their hands.  The piece of writing must be within 50 feet (blocks) of the mage, and must also have an unimpeded clear path to the spellbinder. The spell’s words are “''Casmal Shishil Cortal Ova'''' followed by the name of the written piece. The binder must hold their hand out and concentrate on the catch.

''Nom de Plume'' - Allows the spellbinder to discern the author of a written work. The mage must take the physical document in hand over a bowl of burning birch wood and cinnabar resin. Nestled within the bowl should also be a small strip of paper that has been soaked in ink. Placing both hands on either side of the written work, the mage must ensure smoke has permeated every inch of every page. The mage will then invoke “''Relnata Sae Irvi Melast''.” The name of the author will then be spelled out on the strip of paper within the bowl. Note that the name on the paper will last only as long as the wood and resin release smoke into the air. This name is resistant to being duplicated by the “Copycat” spell.

''Lost in a Book'' -  The mage can use paper to envelope or mummify a person from the base of the neck down to the ground. The paper to be used must be within a twenty foot radius of the caster and have an unimpeded path to the magician. The spell will cause paper to fly through the air and wrap tightly around the victim. The mage can use bound paper in books, however the book will be ripped apart in the process. The mage must perform a circling motion with their hands, almost as if kneading dough in mid-air. The spellbinder should invoke the following while performing the hand motions; “''Salor Kith Ars Fait Tol'',” then directing the flying papers to their destination.  To seize the victim, they then clench their hand into a fist, causing the papers to bind the target tightly. The victim will stay enveloped from the neck down until the mage loosens their fist.

''A Thousand Cuts'' - This spell allows the mage to summon small scraps of paper into a whirlwind around their target. Each bit of paper will inflict a single paper cut on the victim - dissolving into a cinder once blood has stained the paper. Depending on the mage and their mastery of the spell, they can summon anywhere from fifty to two-hundred scraps of paper for this spell. The amount will depend on the concentration of the spellbinder, the precision of the intricate gestures, and the precise speech of the spell. The mage must cup their hands into a bowl, first murmuring “''Sael Ach Tol''.”  Then they must interlink their fingers and pull them towards their body. When ready to attack, they must fling the interlinked fingers outwards towards their target, fingers splaying out widely.  As they do this, they must call out “''Fael Sae Ardo Tach''.”  The papers will continue to whirl around the victim until they inflict a cut before cindering away. The mage may cut the spell short by balling their hand into a fist.

''The Magic Word'' - Spellbinders are uniquely positioned to divine the words of invocation for new spells. The research associated with this is extensive. The spell creator must have a clear goal, a recognition of where the spell will pull magic from, where it is to be directed, and the consequences of the casting. The spellbinder must have knowledge of magical words and the patterns within them. Once the purpose of a spell is defined, the spellbinder must craft words that will work alongside hand movements or other amplifiers with the spell’s author. Collaboration is a requirement of spellcraft, as one mage alone can never create a spell on their own.  OOC Note: Spellbinders must make a ticket to start the spell creation process. They must have a mage partner, and must have done RP pertaining to the spell creation.

Spellbinders are known for crafting magic spells, and preserving arcane knowledge all across Pannotia.

Overview

The academics of the magical world, Spellbinders participate and lead in the study of the craft of spell-making. They studiously catalogue magical knowledge and the art of spellcraft. Spellbinders have the distinct ability to tease out the required magical words to solidify spells. Their magic supports the spellbinder’s goals of preserving and protecting magical knowledge. The first known spellbinder went by the name of Louisa Pearson, who was responsible for extensive work on early technomancy spells. While earlier spellbinders have been lost to the dark ages of history, their collaborative nature remains with the existence of mage covens and the regular meetings between magical schools. Spellbinders can usually be found organizing their local mages into working groups, or working with academic institutions to assist in the preservation of knowledge.
